Kiwi On The Loose

KiwiVagabond.com and ‘Kiwi on the loose’ is a blog about kiwis and their country.

It’s about my own journey of discovery and maybe yours.
‘Kiwi on the loose’ as a title is an expression of the hope that there are others whether in NZ or overseas that have been or are on a similar journey of discovery and who would like to share their impressions and experience of discovering New Zealand. Having eyes and growing up on NZ shores does not automatically mean that I ’see’ or have seen this country. Discovery is usually preceded by some kind of adventure, painful or pleasant or some kind of revelation or AAAAHAA! type enlightening experience, where one ’sees’ at long last or maybe for the first time..
This has been my experience as a result of traveling to America , I have come to see these shores, the land of my entry and becoming quite differently.
The hope is that contributions will be shared creatively, in word, image or story. That it will become an archive of peoples journeys, that it will be a place we can laugh and maybe even cry. New Zealand is a very special place. NOT the only special place on this earth, but one that is dear to those who have seen her.
I hope you will feel free to post a response or two if you come here….AND in true kiwi tradition we won’t take ourselves as seriously as the Ozzies do.
